Method

Who appears here, what counts as a programme, how measures and the costed share are counted, what “announced funding” means, and the limits of the survey.

Who appears here

People whose candidacy is declared, who are nominated by their party, running in a primary or expected to run, when that status is established by a dated source: a media outlet or a party website. Their own campaign website or an aggregator is not enough. Those who have withdrawn, or have been defeated in a primary, no longer appear. The most recent status prevails; when sources diverge, the row says so.

What counts as a programme

A document, or a set of pages, that sets out structured proposals for 2027, and that the person presents as their own programme: on their campaign website, or on the website of their party, which attributes it to them. A document of their party that they do not present in this way is classed as a “party document”, whatever its date. An op-ed, a general doctrine, a 2022 programme, a book or a press conference are not programmes. Without a written programme, the grid records positions from the person’s statements, those of their associates or the documents of their party, each dated and sourced.

Who enters the grid

Positions are recorded for people whose candidacy is declared or who are nominated by their party, and who are credited with at least 2% in one of the scenarios of the latest voting intentions poll recorded (Elabe for BFMTV and La Tribune Dimanche, online survey from 14 to 16 October 2026, 1,701 people of whom 1,553 registered voters intending to vote; Notice déposée par Elabe à la Commission des sondages (n° 10324), 17 October 2026). A released programme is not enough to enter the grid; the other declared candidacies are mentioned on the candidates page, with their programme when one exists. All of them appear in the grid, whether or not they have released a programme; for those who have not issued one, the column says so and the positions are drawn from their statements. The same criterion applies to all; it will be reapplied with each new poll. As of 17 October 2026, in the grid: Gabriel Attal, Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, Raphaël Glucksmann, Marine Le Pen, David Lisnard, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Édouard Philippe, Bruno Retailleau, Fabien Roussel, François Ruffin, Marine Tondelier, Éric Zemmour.

Measures and costed share

The number of measures is the one the document announces or numbers. Failing that, we count the identifiable proposals: the number is then preceded by “≈”. A measure is costed when it carries an amount of cost, budget envelope or yield of its own; a unit amount (the SMIC, a per-person benefit) or a contextual amount does not count. When in doubt, we keep the lowest figure.

Announced funding

“Announced”: a table or a text that balances revenue and spending. “In part”: a savings path presented at a press conference, or an incomplete balance. The total cost follows the same rules.

Neutrality

The same criteria apply to all. A short programme, or one with few costings, is not a flaw in itself: the table describes, it does not grade. It is sorted by status then by surname, and ranks no one.

Limits

Checked on 17 October 2026. For each person, we consult their campaign website and that of their party. When either could not be found or read (web search was unavailable that day), the row says “No programme found, search incomplete” rather than “No programme released”. Some paywalled articles could only be read by their headline; the row’s note says so. Programmes change: this table will be dated at each update.
